Mash Tun Oktoberfest is a craft beer festival featuring some of the world’s best breweries. Flagship and rare beers will be poured alongside one-of-a-kind concoctions at the stunning Bridgeport Art Center Atrium at 35th and Racine.
The fall festival is a celebration of the release of issue 2 of Mash Tun: A Craft Beer Journal. The Mash Tun is published by The Public Media Institute, a non profit arts and culture organization based in Bridgeport. Mash Tun is our paean to craft beer. It follows the pleasures and aesthetics of craft beer and how it intersects with food, culture, and society.
The festival will be held in the atrium next to the center’s sculpture garden. A pig roast, food trucks and performances will be featured.
Participants include: Half Acre, Revolution, Brewery Ommegang, Pipeworks, Great Lakes, Founders, Sixpoint, Brooklyn, Uinta, Stone, New Belgium, Five Rabbits, Virtue Cider, Artisanal Ales, Baderbrau, Lagunitas, Oskar Blues and others.
The Mash Tun Oktoberfest is a fundraiser. Admission is $30 via paypal. You must purchase and rsvp for this event. Attendees will receive the new issue of Mash Tun Journal, a souvenir tasting glass, and complementary pours of over 24 different ales.
After you purchase tickets your name will be put on an RSVP list. Please bring your ID and the guests that will be attending with you to the event. You must be 21yrs and older to enter.
The festival is also one of the main events for the official Chicago Artists Month kick off party taking place in the arts district of Bridgeport.
